Ellen Elizabeth (Orr) Resch Dryden, 82, formerly of Libby, died Sunday, Aug. 13, at her home in Albany.

She was born in the Manicke area south of Libby (MT) to James and Anna Orr.

Ellen was raised in McGinnis Meadows and attended school in Libby.

She married Steve Resch on July 3, 1941. He died May 5, 1971.

She married Glenn Dryden on Aug. 5, 1973; they moved to Scio and then to Albany for what became the family home.

Ellen loved to entertain her 10 children, 28 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and anyone who showed at her door. Her homemade bread, biscuits and cinnamon rolls were a requirement at every gathering, and she willingly supplied a lot of these. Many happy memories remain of the great times had in this home. Ellen was happiest when the house was full of her "little people."

Also preceding her in death were sister Helen Miller and brothers Edward, Bill, Carl and Ray Orr.

Survivors include husband Glenn of Albany; children Ruth Ann Hellen and husband James of Somers, Charles Resch and wife Sue, and John Resch and wife Yvonne, all of Libby, Stanley Resch and wife Glenda of Drain, Diane Mellem of Havre, Roxanne Griner of Lebanon, Randy Resch and wife Judy of Scio, Gregory Resch and wife Barb and Joseph Resch and wife Kim, all of Salem, and Steve Resch and wife Coleen of Sherwood; stepdaughters Kaylene Larado of Lebanon and Debra Wight of Utah; brothers Paul Orr of Columbia Falls and Marion Orr of Libby; grandchildren Jim, Mike, Jackie, John, Paul, Scott, Darren, Mary, Justin, Chantelle, Michelle, Shane, Kayleen, Jerry, Ryan, Kimber, Tina, Jennifer, Kellie, Joe, Greg, Destiny, Krystan, Lyle, Tony, Fred, Kathleen and Philip; great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of the resurrection was celebrated on Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Jozef Perhubka as celebrant. Interment followed at the City of Libby Cemetery.
