Casey Stanley Resch, 62, a resident of Drain, Oregon passed away October 8, 2007 from heart-related causes.

He was born June 14, 1945 in Libby, Montana to Steve and Ellen (Orr) Resch.

Casey was the third of ten children. He grew up and attended school in Libby. He resided throughout Northwest Montana including Kalispell, Lake Blaine and Polson. He married Glenda A. Hitner on November 26, 1991 in Kalispell. He raised many foster children. He worked in auto sales for many years, and owned Lake Co. Auto in Montana. He moved to Drain in 1999 so that he could be closer to his large family.

Casey enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and always told them stories of growing up "back in the old days." He enjoyed hunting, boating, four-wheeling , and was an avid football fan. He most enjoyed his family. He was a group home supporter and served on the board of directors . He was loved by many, and he loved others in return.

He is survived by his wife, Glenda, of Drain, his step-father , Glenn Dryden of Albany, 3 daughters, Mary Pickering of Redmond, Oregon, Michelle Hitner and Kaeleen Resch of Wilsonville, Oregon, 3 sons, Darren Resch, Sr. of Spokane, Washington, Justin Resch of Salem, Oregon and Shane Hitner of Eugene, Oregon , brothers, Chuck, Joe, John, Steve, Greg and Randy, sisters, Ruth, Diane (Deedee), and Roxy, numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Steve Resch in 1971 and his mother, Ellen Resch-Dryden in 2006.

A celebration of life was held Saturday, October 27 at 11 am at the Village Green Resort in Cottage Grove. Cremation was held under the care of Smith Lund Mills Funeral Chapel.
