Mrs. Elvira Towry, aged 80 years, died in Birmingham, Alabama, at the home of her son, Mr. Fent Towry, Thursday, January 2, 1930. She was the widow of Mr. Jeptha Towry, a confederate soldier, and her former friends in this county remember her as a very excellent woman. The remains were brought to her old home for burial at Pleasant Grove, after funeral service conducted by Elds. M. J. Towry and E. A. Fanning.
