Mrs. Louanna Towry Phillips, wife of the late W. T. Phillips, died Wednesday at her home near Hazel Green. Funeral services were conducted at State Line church Thursday afternoon, with Rainey and Son of Ardmore, Tenn., in charge. The Rev. Marvin Walker of Lincoln, Tenn., officiated.
Mrs. Phillips is survived by one son, Cleba Phillips, of Hazel Green; one step-daughter, Mrs. E. P. Pruitt of Huntsville; one sister, Mrs. Olivia Bounds of Houston, Texas; four brothers, Dalton Towry of Lincoln, Tenn.; Fent Towry of Howell, Tenn.; Murphy Towry of Birmingham, and Owen Towry of Rockdale, Texas, and several grandchildren.
Active pallbearers were Fent Towry, Murphy Towry, Pat Pruitt, Leslie H. Hunter, Leland Hobbs, Leland Lincoln, Ozro Price and Tracy Price.
Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Walter Dickey, Albert Carriger, Hugh Bullard, Riley Jeans, Luther Hicks, Alvin Spray, D. L. Hughes and Bryan Reynolds.
