Virginia Maxine Offenbacker, 80, of 3 Oakcrest Dr., Luray, died on Monday, Nov. 2, 2015.

She was born on July 6, 1935, in Stanley and was a daughter of the late Leo Rena Cubbage and Eva Mae Breeden Cubbage.

Mrs. Offenbacker worked for International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAMAW) of Washington, D.C. as a Pension/Insurance Specialist, retiring on June 1, 1991. She lived in Silver Spring, Md., until 1998 when she and her husband moved back to Page County.

On Nov. 9, 1954, she married Roy Carl Offenbacker, who died on Jan. 14, 2008.

She is survived by two daughters, Carla Denise Alexander and husband Charles “Chuck” Alexander, and Lisa Ann Comer and husband Paul Comer, all of Stanley; three sisters, Katie Marlene Cubbage of Stanley, Joyce Ann Lang of Luray, and Judy Kaye Carroll of Dayton, Ohio; a brother, Kenneth Leo Cubbage of Milford, Ohio; two grandchildren, Katelynn Comer of Stanley, and Jason Comer and wife Kristin Comer, also of Stanley; and two great-grandchildren, Braylon and Tanner Comer of Stanley. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Howard Vincent, Rufus Aldine, Maurice Allen and Gerald Marshall Cubbage; four sisters, Myra C. Painter, Sylvia C. Campbell, Sandra Faye Way and Nellie Mae Estep; and a grandson, Joshua Comer.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 6, at the Bradley Funeral Home by Pastor Mike Nichols. Burial will be in the Thomas Cemetery on Tanner’s Ridge in Stanley.

The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 5, at the funeral home. (Paid Obituary)
