Funeral services for Chester Arthur Berry, 74, were held Sunday, January 22, at the Port Royal Methodist Church, where he was a member. The pastor, the Rev. Lee Roy Sanders, officiated, assisted by the Rev. Howard Olive, pastor of the Port Royal Baptist Church. Burial was in the Port Royal Cemetery.
Mr. Berry died January 20 at his home. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Pearl Sanders Berry; one son, Chester Arthur Berry, Jr.; two daughters, Mrs. W. M. McCullough, Louisville, and Miss Louise Berry, Port Royal and seven grandchildren.
