MRS. IDA VANDIVIER DIES AS RESULT OF BEING HIT BY AUTO SUNDAY EVE
Had Never Regained Consciousness Since Accident

The death of Mrs. Ida Ragsdale Vandivier occurred at 4:00 this morning at her home on West Adams street, the result of injuries sustained Sunday evening when she was thrown to the ground by an automobile driven by Max Vaught, at the Franklin National Bank corner, while on her way to attend the evening services at the First Baptist Church.
Passersby took her to the Province hospital for first aid and afterward she was taken to her home, where she never fully regained consciousness.
Mrs. Vandivier was a member of a prominent pioneer family of Hensley township, her parents being Harrison and Margaret Ragsdale. She was born March 29, 1845 and would soon have celebrated her eightieth birthday.
Their entire married life was spent in Union towsnship, near Budd, where Mr. Vandivier was a prosperous farmer.
Surviving are three sons, Ara V. Vandivier of Franklin; Otis M. Vandivier, living in the western part of the county; Rollie J. Vandivier of Indianapolis and a daughter, Mrs. Frank Eccles of Budd. Several grandchildren also survive.
Mrs. Vandivier was baptized in young womanhood, but was not identified with any church at the time of her death. Since coming to Franklin, following the death of her husband several years ago, she enjoyed the services of the various churches in the city.
She was a devoted mother, a kind neighbor and her death is mourned by a host of relatives and friends.
