Honey Grove - Elba I. Kuykendall, 1204 N. 10th St., Honey Grove, died at 11; 45 a.m. Monday, July 1, at McCuistion Regional Medical Center.

Graveside serves were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, at the Forest Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Stan McKown officiating. Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.

Mr. Kuykendall was born in Direct April 17, 1897, a son of Andy Kuykendall and May Etta Bryant Kuykendall.

He married Vera Sublett in 1919 [sic], in Tigertown.

He was retired from the Continental Gin Co. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, member of the East Dallas Lodge No. 1200, AF&AM. He was also a member of the Hella Temple of Dallas and of the A and A Scottish Rite of Free Masonry in Dallas. He served in the Army during World War I.

Surviving are his wife; one brother, J.B. Kuykendall of Dallas; and three nephews.

Bearers were Glenn Reeves, Frank Rutherford, Hoyt Ivy, Kenneth Witcher, Kenneth Billings and Earl Collins.
