Rusty was the first cat bought for my son. We got him from our local animal shelter. His beginnings unknown, but it must have been a rough neighborhood...notice his tattered ear.
He was a sweet boy but not a real cuddler. He preferred being outdoors checking out his territory. The neighbors all knew and loved him...our house was not the only place he went for food.
When he did decide that he wanted attention, he would roll on his back, feet in the air and meow as if to say, "you can rub my belly now" and of course we all did as he commanded.
