Mark "Brick" Fisher is the son of John Edd and Margaret (Poland) Fisher. He remained single throughout his life, living on the family farm near Elvaston with his brother Samuel, and sisters Elizabeth (Lizzie), and Mary Frances. He was prominent in Hancock County affairs, representing Prairie Township on the Board of Supervisors for six terms and serving as an Elvaston school board member for over 30 years.
