Gold Star Mother took trip to France In 1930
Raymond, May 18. - (Special.)
Mrs. Myra Little, 76-year-old Gold Star mother, died last night at her home at 1421 Larch street after a short illness. She was born May 8, 1867, in Wisconsin, and had lived here about six years.
In 1930 she was a member of a party of Gold Star mothers who went to France to visit the graves of American soldiers who died in the World war. There she saw the grave of her son, Charles Little, who died July 22, 1918, of wounds sustained in action.
Mrs. Little was a member of the American Legion auxiliary at Berbells [Bowbells], North Dakota, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars auxiliary here. She also was a member of the Presbyterian church.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Ethel Frank, of San Francisco, Mrs. Elsie Trainer, of Westbridge, B.C., Mrs. Ruth Bergersen and Mrs. Dean Petersen, both of Raymond; two sons, Alfred and Frank Little, both of Raymond; four sisters, three brothers, 36 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Anderson Funeral home chapel, with the Rev. W. H. Graler officiating. The body will be shipped to Rugby, North Dakota, for interment beside her late husband, V. E. Little, who died in 1933.
