Ricky came to us as a six week old and left us after a 14 year bond of love. He and his siblings were named after characters on the "Magnum P.I." TV series.

He was beyond intelligent, he learned hand signals which became invaluable after he went deaf. Sadly, not so well after blindness then plagued him in his later life.

I am not sure who he loved most, the three humans who shared his home and took care of him or "his" cat Beans. Beans lived to be 19, we had him four years beyond Ricky but I truly believe those years for Beans were filled with the same longing we had. The four of us so missed our sweet Ricky. I am sure Ricky was there when Beans crossed the Rainbow Bridge, ready to groom each other and play like when they were young.

Ricky was in fact cremated, then placed in a beautiful little wooden box, his collar buckled around it and he sits on our mantle. Beside him is an antique porcelain Beswick Springer Spaniel figurine.
