Marie Kemp Tate, 97, a retired supervisor, died Oct. 29, 2015 at Baptist Medical Center ECF-Leake.
Services are 10:00 am Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015 at the Wilcox Chapel with Bro. Jerry Tate officiating. Burial is in Standing Pine Cemetery. Wilcox Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Tate,a native of Alcorn County, was a member of Standing Pine Baptist Church and the Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include: a daughter, Shirley Shepard of Carthage; brothers, Billy Barnett of Huntsville, AL and Bobby Barnett of Warner Robins, GA; sister, Dorothy Veazey of McDonough, GA; 4 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were: Aaron Shepard, Alex Shepard, Austin Shepard, John Presley Tate, Andrew Tate, Connor Herrington.
