William J. Parrish, 75, of Rout 1, Goreville, died today, December 4, 1975, in Doctors Memorial Hospital in Carbondale.
Mr. Parrish was a farmer and lived from 1934 to 1972 in rural Goreville. He was a member of the Pentacostal Tabernacle Church of Peoria.
He was born on October 4, 1900, in Johnson County to George and Mattie Mohler Parrish. He was married to Anna Marie Light on May 10, 1929 in El Paso. Survivors include his wife; one sister, Hollice Correll of Washington; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one infant son, and two brothers, Edgar Parrish and Everett Parrish. (The actual obituary says: Edgar Mohler and Everett Mohler).
The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in Van Natta-Meredith Funeral Chapel in Goreville. The Rev. Louis Durfee, pastor of Lick Creek Pentacostal Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Cana Cemetery north of Goreville. Friends may call after 5:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
