John Egbert Hatch, 84, passed away peacefully at his home in Tetonia, Idaho on October 27, 2015 of natural causes. He was born on November 10, 1930, to Lawrence Perry and Isabella Lindsey Hatch in Tetonia, Idaho. John was the oldest boy in a family of six children. He attended school in the Tetonia area where he later graduated from Teton High School.

He married Elli Mae Beeson on October 19, 1952 and made their home in Teton Valley. They were later divorced. They raised six loving children: Richard B. Hatch, Judith A. Hatch, Teresa J. Hatch, Perry J. Hatch, Becky H. Hatch and James Hatch.

He served in the Army National Guard from 1951 to 1954 before being honorably discharged.
He was a hardworking man and was employed by what was Teton Valley Milling & Power for around 10 years before TVMP was purchased by Fall River Rural Electric and continued working until 1981 when he retired from the power company.

He then started a new chapter in his life and married Terrie Ann Beard on June 5, 1982. Later they were divorced.

He decided to go back to work in a different line of work so he went to work with his boys in Jackson, WY for Wilson Construction. Later he went to work for Evans Construction and then retired to the Driggs side of the mountain where he worked for different construction companies in the valley. He finally decided retire at the age of 75, and spent the remainder of his life at his home on Hatch's Corner.

John E. Hatch loved Teton Valley and enjoyed the mountains, hunting and fishing with his kids and grandkids. John loved his family and took every chance to show them all how much. He not only enjoyed his six children, but he was also blessed with 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and he was loved by all.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 30, at the Cache-Clawson Cemetery in Tetonia under the direction of Baxter Funeral Home. Military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post 95 and the Idaho Honor Guard.
