Mrs. Edna Lucille Rogers, age 73 of Monticello and a former resident of Altha, Florida for over 20 years passed away Saturday, October 27, 2006 at the Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in Tallahassee. Edna was born on September 2, 1933 in West Palm Beach, Florida. Edna retired as a Telephone Repair Clerk with over 30 years of services with Southern Bell. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Blountstown, Florida. Mrs. Rogers was preceded in death by her husband, Bill in February 2003.
Survivors include one brother, Gene Duncan of Ft. Wayne, IN; one sister, Mary Haskins and her husband Bob of Monticello, FL; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 3, 2006 at 9:00 AM (CST) from St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Blountstown, Florida with Father Kurian Manikuttiyil. Interment will be held Saturday, November 4, 2006 at 10:00 AM (CST), 11:00 AM (EST) at the Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in West Palm Beach, FL. The family will receive friends Thursday, November 2, 2006 from 5:00 PM (CST) until 7:00 PM (CST) at the Peavy Funeral Home. All arrangements are under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown, FL.
