ALTHA - William Dwight Rogers, 71, a retired truck driver, died Friday, Feb. 28, 2003. He is survived by his wife.

The service will be at 10 a.m. CST Monday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Blountstown, with burial at 11 a.m. EST Tuesday at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in West Palm Beach.

Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. CST Sunday at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown.

One of five children born to the late Dwight Darlington and Juanita Ila Deason Rogers, Mr. Rogers was born in West Palm Beach and had lived in Altha since 1983. He was an army veteran of the Vietnam War and in the National Guard.

He was a member of the Red Level Masonic Lodge No. 134 F. & A.M. in the Alliance Community, the Scottish Rite Bodies in Panama City and First United Methodist Church in West Palm Beach.

Other survivors include three sisters and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Marion Beard.
