I believe this to be an article on Ella's death. I think the birth date on her stone is incorrect and should be 1868 not 1878. Here is info from other documents as well. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Coroner's Jury Rules Woman's Death Was From Natural Causes

ROCK ISLAND – A coroner's jury today decided that Mrs. Ella Mae Donovan, 82, of 610 Twelfth street, Rock Island, died of a cerebral hemorrhage. The woman died Saturday in St. Anthony's hospital after apparently suffering a stroke in her home last Wednesday.

The inquest was held in Wheelan funeral home, Rock Island. The cause of several burns on Mrs. Donovan's body were not determined, although they did not cause her death.

Mrs. Donovan, a resident of Rock Island 20 years, was born Oct. 31, 1868, in Weege, W. Va. She was the former Ella Mae Brandon. She attended schools in Weege.

Shew was married to Samuel Donovan. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic church.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Katie Belle Sypher of Parkersburg, W. Va.; a sister, Mrs. Sadie Bishop of Wheeling, W. Va., and a brother, John Brandon.

Funeral services will be held at 8:30 tomorrow morning in the funeral home and at 9 in St. Joseph's Catholic church. The rosary will be recited in the funeral home at 8 tonight.

MRS. ELLA DONAVAN [DONOVAN]

Mrs. Ella Mae Donavan, 610 Twelfth street, Rock Island, died at 4:55 p.m. Saturday in St. Anthony hospital.

The body was removed to the Wheelan funeral home pending funeral arrangements.

A resident of Rock Island the last 20 years, Mrs. Donavan was born in West Virginia on Oct. 31, 1908[1868]. She was reared and educated in Rock Island [Weege, W.V.] and was married to Samuel Donavan in Rock Island. He preceded her in death.

Miss [Ms.] Elsie [Ella] Lumberg of Wheeling, W. Va., became the bride of Mr. Sam Donovan of Davenport Saturday afternoon, the ceremony being performed in Rock Island at the office of the officiating justice, D. J. Cleland. There were no attendants.
