Royce E. Allen, 64, of Weleka Lane, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Monday, October 26, 2015 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, TX.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2015, 2:30 PM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ronald McDuff officiating.
Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Royce E. Allen was born December 28, 1950 in Portales, New Mexico to John and Dorothy (Prater) Allen. He graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1968 and honorably served his country in the National Guard. He worked for WIPP in construction and management for 30 plus years, most recently as the Project Manager, Site Infrastructure. Royce enjoyed riding motor cycles, playing the guitar and working in the yard. He was a wood worker and firearms enthusiast; and had a passion for cars, especially corvettes. He never turned down the opportunity to spend time with his friends and brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by Mary Ann Mullins Allen of Carlsbad, NM; sons: Chris Allen and wife, Crystal; Sean Allen and wife, Stephanie; daughter, Farah Mendoza and husband, Jake; grandchildren: Caylei Allen, Carter Allen, Hailie Coleman and Kenzi Coleman.
Honorary pallbearers are Kay Atwood, Keith Lacy, Mark Davis, Randy West, Steve Childress, Aaron Ballew, Bobby Mayoros, Wille Most, George Dunagan, Billy Sherrell, Roque Alvarez, James Harvey, Matt Cox, Barry Brown, Steve Youngerman, Luke Meadors and his WIPP Family.
