Preceded in death by parents; husband; daughter Glenda ISRAEL; sisters Majel, Marine and Nellie CHILDS; brothers Don and Jennings CHILDS. Graveside services 8 Apr 2011 at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Billings MT.

BILLINGS, Mont. - Belva Roseva Foland, 97, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at Eagle Cliff Manor in Billings, Mont. Graveside services were held Friday, April 8, at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Belva was born Aug. 4, 1913, in Henry, the daughter of Ralph and Rose (Cox) Childs. She was a 1931 graduate of Torrington High School in Torrington, Wyo. Belva met Mendel "Dow" Foland while iceskating at Little Moon Lake. They were married Aug. 8, 1932 in Sidney and were married fifty-four wonderful years before his passing.

In her younger years, Belva enjoyed swimming, iceskating and bike riding. She loved to play cards (bridge, cribbage and pinochle) and enjoyed making hooked rugs.

Belva was a wonderful homemaker, great cook and loved to travel. She had a passion for music; she played saxophone in high school, played the piano and taught herself how to play the organ. Belva enjoyed her pets and raised Pekinese dogs.

Survivors include her brother, Arlie of Nampa, Idaho; son, Dennis of Newport Beach, Calif.; granddaughter, Deni Cellmer of Portland, Ore.; grandsons, Todd Israel of Glasgow, Mont., Doug Foland of Charlotte, N.C., Randy Foland of Upland, Calif., Darren Foland of Alta Loma, Calif., and Mike Israel of Helena, Mont.; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

Preceding Belva in death were her parents; husband "Dow"; daughter, Glenda Israel; sisters, Majel, Marine and Nellie; and brothers, Don and Jennings.
