Deseret News, Tuesday, Dec. 20, 1994. Obituary: CRAIG M. PETERSON, MARLA R. PETERSON. Craig and Marla Peterson died tragically in a plane crash December 18, 1994. Craig was born in Bell, California to Willis O. Manwill and Colleen White Manwill. Raised by Frank B. and Colleen Peterson. Marla was born in Blackfoot, Idaho to Owen J. Simper and Selma Hebdon Simper. Craig and Marla's lives were joined as High School sweethearts, when they married at the age of 19 on July 18, 1961 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Their zest for travel was sparked when they began their life long journey together by joining the Air Force and moving to Germany. After the birth of their first child, they returned to Utah. The enthusiastic support of Marla enabled Craig to obtain a Juris Doctorate Degree, with honors. The next twenty years of their lives were devoted to raising their three children. Craig's profession and Marla's mastery of the travel industry, along with her relentless pursuit of the "good deal", enabled them to realize their dream of traveling the world. They worked hard, they played hard; they lived life to the fullest. May their new journey take them to greener fairways.

Survived by children: Mark and Christine, Kurt and Elaine, Vince and Chelle; and one grandchild, all of Salt Lake City; mothers: Colleen Peterson, Salt Lake City; Selma Simper, Blackfoot, Idaho; siblings: Jim and Kathy, Cedar City, Utah; Frank and Charlotte, Honeyville, Utah; Brent, Salt Lake; Wayne and Dixie, Elko, Nevada; Mike and LaConna, Heber City, Utah; Rick and Cheryl, Daren and Rhonda, both Snake River, Idaho; many nieces and nephews; and many countless loving friends from all around the world.
