Martha Ann Novak, age 91, was born in Lesterville, MO. to John S. Adams and Pauline Adams. She passed away October 19, 2015. Martha graduated from Lesterville High School and moved to St. Louis, MO. to work for the Federal Reserve Bank. Her next job with E.I. Dupont in Pasco, WA. was later determined to be related to the Manhattan Project. She enlisted in the Navy in 1945 serving until the war ended. She then retired from the Boilermakers National Health and Wellness fund where she worked as a claims examiner. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Mike L. Novak. She is survived by her son, Michael Novak (Karleen), daughter Rebecca (Tom) Myers, 6 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. All will miss her wit, giving ways and friendly fun loving nature. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, October 23, 2015 at 10:00 a.m., St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 94th & State Ave, Kansas City, KS. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Mary Butler Meyers Funeral Home 6300 Parallel Pkwy, Kansas City, KS., where the rosary shall be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Entombment will be Resurrection Mausoleum, 83rd & Quivira, in Lenexa, KS. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions to St. Patrick's Catholic School or Aberdeen Village Care of Employee Fund.
