He was born May 5, 1936 to John and Margaret Adams in Goodland, Missouri.

John married Jean Adams on October 13, 1963. She preceded him in death on November 25, 2012.

He was in the United States Navy and worked for the State of Missouri as a Conservation Agent.

Mr. Adams loved antiquing and trading. He was also an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed camping, hunting, and canoeing.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife.

Survivors: sons, John Adams and James Adams (Beth); daughter, Anne DeRoin (Chad); three grandchildren, Kyle Adams, Sydney DeRoin, and Riley DeRoin; and sister, Martha Novak.

Services: 10:00 A.M. Thursday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory, where friends may call after 5:00 P.M. Wednesday. The family suggests memorial gifts to Hands of Hope Hospice or Ducks Unlimited.
