Mrs. Bertha Jane Vanhoy, age 80, of Westfield, died Friday, October 16, 2015 at Twelve Oaks.
She was born April 12, 1935 in Stokes County to the late Ed & Sarah Elizabeth Booth.
She retired from RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company.
She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Patricia & David Bottoms of Pilot Mountain, N.C.; son and daughter-in-law, Michael & Helen Vanhoy of Walnut Cove, N.C.; sisters, Mary Gilliam of Moore’s Springs, N.C., Geneva Edwards of Moore’s Springs, N.C., Verda Kopp of Moore’s Springs, Linda Bull of Kernersville, N.C.; brothers, Bill Booth (Linda) of Moore’s Springs, N.C. & Charlie Booth (Sarah) of Walnut Cove, N.C.; numerous nieces and nephews; two very special friends, Susie Bennett Southern and Crystal Joyce.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Vanhoy was preceded in death by her husband, David Lee Vanhoy; and numerous sisters and brothers.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 11 AM at Howell-Nelson Funeral Chapel of Pilot Mountain conducted by Reverend Gerald Jones with interment to follow at Old Orchard Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 23, 2015 from 6-8 PM at Howell-Nelson Funeral Service of Pilot Mountain.
