GERMANTON, NC ~ Mr. Carson Arnold Booth,
83, died Thursday, Dec. 1, 2005, at Stokes-Reynolds Memorial Hospital.

He
was born Feb. 6, 1922, to Ed and Daisy Johnson Booth.

He served his country
in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Mr. Booth retired from R.J. Reynolds
Tobacco Co. after 27 years of service.

He was a member of Freedom Baptist
Church and also worked as a self-employed painter.

In addition to his
parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Janice Gail Booth; four
brothers; and two sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Taylor Booth,
of the home, two sons and daughters-in-law, Denny Carson Booth and wife Nancy of
Yadkinville and Eugene Arnold Booth and wife Linda of Kernersville; three
brothers, Billy Booth, Charlie Booth and Ray Booth; five sisters, Verda Kopp,
Bertha Vanhony, Geneva Edwards, Linda Bull and Mary Gideon; six grandchildren
and six great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9
p.m. today, Dec. 2, at Burroughs Funeral Home in Walnut Cove.

The funeral
service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at Burroughs Funeral Home
Chapel, with the Rev. John Byerly and the Rev. Ralph Mitchell officiating.
Burial will follow in Friends Baptist Church Cemetery, with military honors
provided by District 11 Memorial Honor Guard.
