Shawnee resident H. Harber Lampl, 69, died Monday, Aug. 14, 2006 at his home.
Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Walker Funeral Service Chapel in Shawnee.

Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Walker Funeral Service.

H. Harber Lampl, 69, passed away on Monday, August 14, 2006 at his home in Shawnee, OK. He was born on October 18, 1936 in Wichita, Kansas to Maurice Bernard Lampl and Dorothy Nunnelley Spurr. He graduated from Shawnee High School in 1954, graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1959, and graduated in 1965 from the University of Wisconsin School of Banking. He was married to Dorothy Joan Ham from 1958 to 1978. Mr. Lampl worked in Finance, Banking, and Investments. He was a member of the greater Shawnee Area Chamber of Commerce, Historical Society of Pottawatomie County, India Shriners, Free Masons, Knights of Templak, Oklahoma Heritage Association, Hope House Big Gifts Chairman, and sponsor of MabeeGerrer Museum. He was also President of American National Bank of Shawnee, President of Oklahoma Bankers Association, Chairman of Board of Regents, Oklahoma State College Regent 1972- 1980, and avid water skier and boater. Mr. Lampl is preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, David Lampl. He is survived by 5 children, Brad Lampl of Houston, TX, Mignonne Evans of Dallas, TX, Mary Kaneakua of Kauai, Hawaii, Ellen Lampl of Austin, TX, Suzanne Lampl of New York, New York; 12 grandchildren; brother, Maurice Lampl and his children; and nephew, Brent Lampl, son of brother, David Lampl. Memorial services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, August 19, 2006 at Walker Funeral Service Chapel in Shawnee with Pastor Larry Sparks officiating. Walker Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to United Way, P.O. Box 697, Shawnee, OK 74802.
