Dallas, Texas, resident David A. Lampl, 65, died Saturday, Dec. 19, at his home.
He was born Sept. 2, 1939, in Wichita, Kan., to Maurice and Dorothy Lampl.
Lampl began his career in banking in Fort Worth, Texas, and went on to be an owner and president of The First National Bank in Shawnee. He retired from the banking industry at age 40 and embarked on a second career in real estate development.
He was a active member of GLAAD and a Federal Club member of HRC.
He was proceded in death by his parents, and his grandfather, Winford E. Harber.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Brent and Ivette Lampl; brothers Maurice Lampl, Harber Lampl and Lester Mayne, and many other relatives.
A memorial service will be 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Restland Wildwood Chapel in Dallas with Monsignor Donald L.Fisher officiating.
