There were one or two old insignificant small headstones that had the last name of Boughan or Bohan, that I remember seeing in the summer of 2000, when I was vacationing there. ------ The Boughan Family burial plot is in the old Catholic section of the old Tynagh Cemetary, with many generations of Boughans having been given a "green" burial in this same--continually re-used--Family Plot. There were a couple of headstones (in the summer of 2000) that were inscribed with Boughan. Mr. Paddy Reilly of Cloncona (died 2010) who was directly descended from the Boughans showed me this Boughan Family Burial Plot in October 2000. His name was "Paddy Reilly" and lived in the old Boughan Family cottage in Clooncona, next to Madge Mitchell who lived in the old Mitchell family Manor house. ----- In 1834 Lawrence Mitchell & Ellen "Nelly" Boughan (then Clooncona next door neighbors) were married in Killimor Catholic Parish. I am a direct descendant of Lawrence and Nelly Boughan Mitchell, through their son Patrick Mitchell. And his daughter, Maggie Mitchell Cowell. ----- The old spelling of Boughan is now usually spelt "Bohan".
