Duane was employed for many years in construction especially as a brick mason. He built many restaurants, schools, and churches over time. His friends described him as hard-working, dedicated and took pride in his work. He was also thought of as a person who would always help you out if in need. In his earlier years he was raised in the Catholic faith in Minnesota and moved to the Carolinas many years ago.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 5:00 PM Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Whitley’s Funeral Home Main Chapel, Kannapolis, NC. Burial will be at a later date. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 5:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
