Aaron was a farmer at Oakley township, Muskoka, Ontario- he was born at Reach, Ontario. In the 1881 census for Oakley and Ryde and Draper , he lived with his father Isaac and mother Sarah Ann Truax nee Markham. Aarons sisters were Mary Ann who was 14 years of age, Martha Jane was 11 years of age, and Harriet Louisa was 7.

On October 12, 1898 at Bracebridge, Ontario, Aaron was married to Stella Grant. He was 34 years of age and she was 25 .

A resident of Creighton since 1937, Aaron Truax died this morning at St. Joseph's Hospital, Sudbury, in his 82nd year. For the past eight years he had been making his home with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr.and Mrs. Thomas Bruce, of Creighton. He was born near Orillia, and lived in the Muskoka district until 1920 when he moved to Matheson where he remained until 1937 and at that time he moved to Creighton. During his younger years he had been a Farmer. Surviving besides his widow, the former Hessie Grant whom he married in 1898, and his daughter , Mrs. Bruce, are two sons Norman, and Dudley Truax, both of Matheson and two sisters , Mrs. Fred Newlove of Matheson, and Mrs. Michael Myers, of Indus, Minn., U.S.A. There are nine grandchildren. He was a member of the United Church. The body is resting at Jackson & Barnard's Funeral Home, 83 Larch St. Funeral arrangements are not competed.
