James was a retired truck driver in the St. Louis area. He was a World War II US Army Veteran; a member of the Winterhaven Mosse Lodge 1023, Winterhaven, Fla.; a member of VFW Post 2297, Lakeland, Fla.; a member of American Legion Post 8, Winterhaven, Fla. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Sunday, October 18, 2015 at Herbert A. Kassly Funeral Home, Collinsville, Ill. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, October 19, 2015 at Herbert A. Kassly Funeral Home, Collinsville, Ill., with Rev. Charlie Johnson officiating. Interment with full military honors will be in St. John Cemetery, Collinsville, Ill. Memorials may be made to Shriner's Children's Hospital.
