Clara Aretta Holton
CENTERVILLE-Clara Aretta Holton, 64, 4691 Pottershop Road, Centerville, died saturday morning at Reid Hospital after a lengthy illness.
She was born Sept. 6, 1919, in Richmond and was a lifelong resident of Wayne County, spending the past 33 years in the Abington Community. she was a retired employee of Nettle Creek Industries. She was a member of abington Christian Church and past matron of the Brownsville Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 389.
Survivors include her husband, George; four daughters, Barbara Brady of Richmond and Marilyn Phenis, Linda Pate, and Pam Pardo all of Abington; her mother, Catherine Boomershine of Richmond; two sisters, Betty Hardwick of Richmond and Virginia Sadler of daytona Beach, Fla.; four brothers, Eugene Boomershine of Phoenix, Ariz., Clarence, Clyde and James Boomershine, all of Richmond; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephew.
Funeral service for Clara Aretta Holton will be at 1:30p.m. Tuesday in Abington Christian Church, Dan Hamilton, minister, will officiate, and burial will be in Abington Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Mills Funeral HOme in Centerville. The Brownsville Order of the Eastern Star will hold a memorial at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
