He was the son of Isaac and Elizabeth (Sheldon) Bennett. He was born in 1750 Griswald, Connecticut. He married Nancy Stuart. He then married Catherine Mullen in Aug. 1777, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania . He died on March 2 1834 in Delaware County Ohio.



Oliver served in the Revolutionary War with his father and grandfather. He was wounded in the arm but survived the war, but he was crippled.
