LITTLE CECILIA PASSES
AFTER LONG ILLNESS
A gloom of sadness was cast over Bulloch county Monday by the passing of little Cecilia Waters, four-year-old daughter and only child of Mr. and Mrs. Gibson Waters, of Brooklet. Last October little Cecilia underwent the famous "blue baby" operation at Emory University Hospital, when it was discovered that her's was one of the rare heart conditions that could not be corrected.
Funeral services for little Cecilia were held at 4 o'clock Tuesday after-noon at Upper Black Creek Primitive Baptist church with Elder F.H. Sills, of Metter, officiating, assisted by Elder Henry Waters, of Statesboro, and Rev. E. L, Harrison, of Brooklet.
Other survivors besides her parents include her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Willie. A. Hagins and Mr. and Mrs. James F. Waters, of Brooklet.
Active pallbearers were Gilbert Williams, Wilford Waters, Edwin Akins and Wilbur Gerrald Wilson. Honorary pallbearers were H. M. Robertson, Robert Lanier, Dr. Bird Daniel,Dr. Ruskin King, Joel Minick. Burnel Fordham,Wilber Fordham, W. W. (Dubb) Brannen, J.R. Bell and T.K.Daves.
Arrangements were in charge of Smtth-Tillman Mortuary, Statesboro.
