Lucy Ann Northcut born 16 November 1819 parents Mary Colliver and William Wiltshire Northcut. She was their fourth child. She married William H Markwell 9 March 1837. First child James O Markwell was born 11 September 1838 in Kentucky. This couple moved to Dane county Illinois spring of 1839 Sadly James died 7 June 1939. Where buried unknown. Her brother A.D.Northcut and sister Louisa McDaniel lived close by. She had seven more children and raised all to adulthood.
