John Baxter Fix, (Bud), 89, of Lexington, died Tuesday, March 14, 1995, at Shenandoah Valley Health Care Facility, Buena Vista. Born March 23, 1905, in Rockbridge Co., he was the son of the late John Baxter Fix and Margaret Brown Beatty Fix. Mr. Fix was a member Emeritus of Mt. View Ruritan Club, Ebenezer A.R.P. Church and was a retired carpenter with Washington & Lee University. Surviving are wife, Virginia Camper Fix, Lexington; stepdaughter, Betty Coulter, Hampton; stepson and wife, Earl R. and Jeanne Lawhorne, Savannah, Ga.; stepdaughter-in-law, Ann Lawhorne, Summerfield, N.C.; brother, Thomas Eugene Fix, Lexington, niece, Juanita Kidwell, Gaithersburg, M.D.; nine stepgrandchildren and eight stepgreat-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a. m. Friday, March 17, 1995, from the Harrison Funeral Chapel with the Chaplain Robert K. Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Neriah Baptist Church Cemetery, Rt. 1, Buena Vista. The family suggest contributions to the Neriah Baptist Church or Ebenezer A.R.P. Church. The family will receive friends from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Harrison Funeral Home.
