John S. Schuyler was born Jan. 22, 1844 at Limestoneville, PA to Louis Schuyler and Elizabeth Brass.

John served in the Civil War, a Private in Co. D, 7th Reg. PA Cav.

1900 Lock Haven, Clinton, PA, John Schuyler 56, owned home at 419 E. Main St., Mary 55, married 33 years with 1 child, Ella M. 25, a Type Writter.

Schulyer – John S. Schuyler, a well known resident of the First ward, died at his home on East Main street, Saturday, after an illness of 26 years of locomotor ataxia. Aged 71 years.
Deceased is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. E. J. McCabe, one brother, W. H. Schuyler, of Kittanning, Pa.; and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Romig, of Dewart; Mrs. Effie Derr, of Schuyler Station, and Mrs. Driscilla Hower of Williamsport.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon by Rev. E. A. Rook, pastor of the First Baptist church. Interment was made in Dunnstown cemetery.

Schuyler – Mrs. Samantha Schuyler, of this city, died at the home of her sister, Mrs. Ella Johnson, near Turbotsville, Lycoming county, at 4 o'clock last Thursday morning. She had been in ill health for several months and had gone to visit her sister with the hope that the change might benefit her. She was the widow of the last John S. Schulyer and was a highly esteemed woman. Besides her sister, Mrs. Johnson, she is survived a little grandson.
