Susie Lanita Pounds born March 2, 1933 went home be with the Lord on September 28, 2015 at the age of 82. She was a long time resident of Bogalusa and a member of the United Faith Pentecostal Church.
She is survived by 3 sons, Edgar Pounds and his wife Dewanna. Dewey Pounds and his wife Joyce and Joseph T. Pounds and his wife Andrea, 2 daughters, Susan E. Miller and her husband David and Kathleen B. Ballard and her husband James, a brother , Ronald "Rod" Talley and his wife Telitha, 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Susie Talley, her husband Walter R. Pounds and a sister.
Visitation will begin on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM . Services will be Thursday October 1, 2015 at the United Faith Pentecostal Church at 3:00 PM located on Marshall Richardson Road. Rev. Charles Warren will conduct the services and assisted by Rev. Ricky Marcelli,Rev. Randy Magee and Rev. Terry Tucker. Interment will follow in Pounds Poole Cemetery.
