Born September 20, 1933 in Pekin to Walter E. and Alice C. (Renner) Zessin, she married Robert F. Beever on December 30, 1951 in Pekin. He died February 22, 2003 in Pekin. She also was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Jeremiah Edward Beever.
Surviving are three sons, Douglas R. Beever of Pekin, Robert E. (Dee Coziahr) Beever of East Peoria and David A. Beever of Manito; three daughters, Carol A. (Isaac) Bush of Manito, Roberta K. (Kevin) Grewey and Allison L. (Donald, Sr.) Lindblom, both of Pekin; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and one sister, LaVerne E. Howell of Pekin.
Lois worked for K-Mart in Pekin for 32 years, retiring in 1996 as checkout supervisor.
She was a member of the K-Mart Retirees Club and enjoyed the outdoors and flower gardening.
She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Pekin, where services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2005. The Rev. Dwight E. Borden will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel, and 30 minutes before services Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
