BIDDEFORD - Richard M Gendron, 58, of 91 Prospect Street, died Thursday at Southern Maine Medical Center after a long illness. He was born in Biddeford on October 29, 1931, a son of Stanislas I and Pauline Lamarre Gendron, and was educated locally. He graduated from St Louis High School, the Class of 1953. Gendron managed Fishmann Department Store New Brunswick, NJ, before returning to Biddeford, where he worked with Pepperell Manufacturing and Saco Lowell Shops for several years. He retired in 1971 due to ill health. He was a member of St Mary's Church. Survivors include: a son, Roger L Gendron of Old Orchard Beach; two daughters, Michelle M Masse and Patricia A Madore, both of Biddeford; three brothers, John Gendron of Hollywood, FL, Charles Gendron and Jerome Gendron, both of Pensacola, FL; three sisters, Ruth L Huff and Paulette Lemay, both of Biddeford, and Sister Mary Paula Gendron of Orange, CA; and five grandchildren. A funeral will be held at St Mary's Church. Burial will be in St Joseph's Cemetery.
