Charles M. Woolfolk, 83, of Scottville IL, died Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010, at his residence. He was born June 20, 1927, in Scottville, the son of Charles E. and Gladys E. McCann Woolfolk.

He married Beverly A. Woods on May 10, 1952, and she preceded him in death Jan. 24, 2010.

Surviving is his son Zane (Karen) Woolfolk of Scottville; daughters Dawn (Lloyd) Schofoeld and Heidi Woolfolk, both of Scottville; and grandchildren Gwendolyn and Ryan Woolfolk; four sisters Ramona Woods and Melody Camerer, both of Scottville, Wilma Mansfield of Murrayville IL, and Judy Dugger of Auburn IL; and brothers Ronald Woolfolk and Thomas Woolfolk, both of Scottville, Harold Allen Woolfolk of Waverly IL, and Michael Woolfolk of Franklin IL.

He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Mr. Woolfolk served in the U.S. Army during World War II and then was stationed in Germany during the occupation after the war. He worked for Allis Chalmers in Springfield for over 30 years, retiring in 1982. He was a member of the Palmyra Masonic Lodge 463. He enjoyed bow hunting, looking for mushrooms, and collecting arrowheads and Indian artifacts.

Memorial services and public Masonic services will be held at 2 p.m. Oct. 26, 2010, at Stults-Neece Funeral Home in Palmyra, with burial at Panther Creek Cemetery in Scottville.
