Willie Mae Murphy, 79, of Cleveland, TN passed away on September 21, 2015.
She was born on February 1, 1936 to the late John Jackson and Rose Mable Burger. She was a lifelong resident of this area and loved reading and gardening. Above all things, however, she loved spending time with her family.
In addition to her mother and father, she is preceded in death by two husbands: Kenneth Roberson Sr. and Bob Murphy; brother Richard Burger.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory two children: Gina Dunn (Steve) and Mitchell Roberson Jr. (Lydia); sisters: Reba Sparks, Lillie Pritchard, Fran Whaley; brother Hershall Burger; grandchildren: Stephen Dunn, Stephanie Dunn, John Roberson, and Ken Roberson III; great grandchildren: Michaela, Jackson, Eli, Samuel, and Luke. In addition to these, she leaves behind several other extended family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 7:00pm on Thursday September 24, 2015 at Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311 with the Reverend Bill Spencer II officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm until the 7:00pm service on Thursday at the funeral home. A private interment will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in Willie's memory.
