Lillie V. Springs Hartley, 88, of Jamestown, SC, died Thursday morning in a Georgetown health care center.

Her funeral will be 2:00 PM Saturday afternoon, September 26, 2015, in the St. James United Methodist Church, Jamestown. Interment will follow in the church cemetery directed by DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER. The family will receive friends at the CHURCH from 12:30 until the hour of service on Saturday.

Mrs. Hartley was born March 7, 1927, in Hemmingway, SC, a daughter of Benjamin Springs and Lillie L. Tanner Springs. She was of the Methodist faith and enjoyed gardening and working in her yard. Mrs. Hartley was the widow of William J. Hartley.

Surviving are, a daughter, Penny Howard and her husband, Vernon, of Andrews; two sons, Calvin Hartley and his wife, Linda, of Jamestown, and Edell “Pete” Hartley and his wife, Carla, of Santee Circle; a sister, Lorraine Guerry of Jamestown; a brother, Joe Springs of Pleasant Hill; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great- great grandchildren.
