Kathryn (Boyer) Vonfeld died at the Lake Cumberland Medical Center after a short illness. She was 71 years old.

She was survived by her brother, Samuel L. Boyer of Somerset, Kentucky; and her sisters, Edna Hoover of Cincinnati, Ohio, Elizabeth Layman of Lake Hamilton, Florida, Eunice Lanier of Blackshear, Georgia and Margaret Johnson and Freda Herchenback, both of Somerset, Kentucky.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel L. Boyer and Mary (Huter) Boyer; and her husband, Lucien J. Vonfeld (married in 1934 in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania).

Funeral services were held at the chapel of Somerset Undertaking Company on Wednesday, November 1, 1978 with Reverend Jack Wilhelm officiating.
