Daughter of Albert H. and Mary Bell (Jenkins) Bolen.
A graduate of Newark High School and Newark Business College, she spent 42 years as bookkeeper/office manager for Berry's Radio and TV Service (Newark and Fairborn OH, Richmond, CA and Honolulu, HI).
Minnie was married to Lester J. Berry from 1936 until his death in 1990. In 1994, she married Carl F. Ecleberry, who died in 2004. An avid nutrition activist since the mid-1950s, Minnie was a long-time member of the Natural Foods Association in Dayton, OH. In addition to being a prolific gardener, she was a talented painter.
Minnie was a Charter Member and Past President of the Fairborn Art Association; former member of the Newark Central Christian Church choir and McKendree Village Singers. Minnie was well-known for dancing the hula at family and social gatherings, including at her 100th birthday party, while seated in a wheelchair. Always positive in thoughts and actions, she had a strong work ethic, and always had a sweet smile for everyone, even in her last hours.
Preceded in death by her parents and husbands; four sisters, Ruth Miller, Margaret Hayden, Charline Bennett, Jessie Stout; three half-sisters and three half-brothers.
She leaves to pass on her life lessons her daughter; step-son; two grandchildren; a step-grandchild; three great grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and 13 nieces and nephews.
