Don was born in Geneva, Idaho to John H. and Gertrude Marx Boehme, and lived in Bear Lake County throughout his youth. He attended Utah State University in Logan and was a proud member of the ROTC.
After relocating with his mother to Bountiful, Don met his future wife, Janet Packard, to whom he was married for fifty-eight years. Together, they had four children: Kathy (Raymond Knighton), Andy (Nichol), Matt (Amy), and Joe (Stephanie).
Don was the consummate gentleman. He loved projects, and was always tinkering with a solution to a problem. He loved working on his truck, going to breakfast with Janet, family reunions, and visiting with his grandkids.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, twelve brothers and sisters, and his son, Joe. He is survived by his wife, three children, fourteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and hundreds of extended family.
Family and friends are welcome to visit from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 18, 2015 at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary in Bountiful. Funeral services will be held at the graveside in Geneva at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2015.
