OBER -- Lucille F. Ambrose, 71, of Indiana 23, died at 1:06 p.m. Saturday in Starke Memorial Hospital, Knox, after an illness. Mrs. Ambrose retired in 1985 from United Technologies, Plymouth. She was born Oct. 19, 1919, in South Bend. She had lived in Knox since 1933, coming from Chicago. On Feb. 15, 1936, in Knox, she married Gus Ambrose. He died Oct. 14, 1982. Surviving are a daughter, Elsie Shedrow of Knox; three sons, James of Plymouth, Thomas of Knox and Dan of Grovertown; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Scholz of San Pierre; and three brothers, Charles White and Richard White, both of Knox, and James White of Crown Point, Ind.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Price-Clark Funeral Home, Knox. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
