Loved Ones Who Have Been Summoned To Cross the Dark River During the Past Few Days

Mrs. David E. Besecker, Aged 57 Yrs.
Mrs. Katherine Besecker, wife of David E Besecker, died at her late residence on Hamilton avenue, Friday evening at 5:10 o'clock of dropsy. She was aged 57 years, 6 months and 4 days.

She was born January 27, 1851, at the home of her parents, Francis and Christiana Boward, at Coseytown, this county. She moved to Greencastle in 1878 and was married to Mr. Besecker in 1880. Nine years ago they moved to Waynesboro.

Mrs. Besecker was a member of the Progressive Brethren church and an attendant upon its services here. She was a woman of amiable disposition and had many friends who will sincerely mourn her death.

She is survived by her husband, a daughter, Mrs. J.A. Crum. Marsh district; three sisters and brothers: Mrs. P.B. Weyant, Waynesboro, and Mrs. William McEldowney, Big Cove; John H. Boward, Churchville, VA, and Jacob Boward, Marsh district, and five grandchildren Florence, Ethel, Merle, Emmett, and Harry.

Funeral services, Monday, 10 a.m. at the houe, conducted by Rev. Tombaugh, pastor of the First Brethren church, Hagerstown. Interment in Cedar Hill cemetery, Greencastle. The pallbearers will be Joh Highberger, William Sheely, William Beninger and Victor R. Koontz.
