Bathsheba married John R. Armstrong on March 12, 1840 in Clinton County, Missouri. They had at least five children: Mary Ann (1840); Margaret (1843); James (1845); Elijah (1848); and William (1849-50). All family members, except Bathsheba, appear in the 1850 census dated September 7, 1850. She died in 1849 or 1850 shortly after the birth of her last child. Her husband then married Susan Elizabeth Sherrell on October 31, 1850.
