William (Billy) Earl Anderson, age 69 of Sparta, Tennessee, a native of Jackson County, passed away on Sunday September 6, 2015 in Sparta. Mr. Anderson was born February 25, 1946 in Davidson, County Tennessee to the late William Colonel (W.C.) Anderson and Opal Doyene Lee Anderson. Billy Earl graduated from Jackson County High School where he was a member of the varsity basketball team that played in the State Tournament in 1964, his senior year. Employed by the Nashville District of the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers for 30 years, he retired in 2005. Survivors include his wife of 33 years Brenda Dycus Anderson. Daughter: Natalee Marie Anderson of Atlanta, GA; Sister: Patsy Anderson (Dan) Crevensten of Bellview, Washington. He was a member of the Sparta First United Methodist Church, where services will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 with burial in Highland Cemetery. Rich Morgan will officiate.

Wayne Rogers, Bill West, Ernie Cheek,
Ed Taylor, Ed Metcalf, Jack Franklin,
Bill Franklin and David Tucker will serve as pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers are Kent Smithson,
Drue Huffines and Bill Johnson
